The South Carolina Trucking Association (SCTA) presented Southern Tank Transport, Inc. with four 1st place and two 2nd place awards for the safest truck fleets in the state. These awards were presented in recognition of the achievements of member companies statewide who excelled in safety standards. Ranae Smoak, Manager of Human Resources, was present to accept the awards for Southern Tank Transport, Inc. "The awards reflect our ongoing dedication to promote safety in the industry while successfully reducing vehicle accidents and on-job-injuries. The awards also demonstrate to our customers our ongoing efforts to maintain our commitment as professional carriers," explained Dan Horton, President of Southern Tank Transport, Inc. Horton further explained that the outstanding safety recognition would not have been possible without Southern Tank Transport, Inc.'s loyal customers and employees who allowed the company to be recognized with such important awards. The awards received include: 1st Place - Tank Local - less than 500,000 miles 1st Place - General Commodities Combined - 500,001 to 1,000,000 miles 1st Place - Tank Combined - 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 miles 1st Place - Industrial Safety Award General Commodities - 1 to 100 employees 2nd Place - Tank Combined - 1,000,001 to 5,000,000 miles 2nd Place - General Commodities Intercity - 500,001 to 1,000,000 miles |
